It can sometimes happen that the automatic updates of Windows are not installed. This can have several causes. For example, it could be due to a slow internet connection. If you get the message that updates are not installed, try installing them manually and find out the reason for a failed update. Before doing this, close all programs and open documents. You will probably have to restart the computer completely during the update.
To install updates manually:
- Click on Start.
- Click on Settings.
- Click Update & Security.
This indicates when it was last checked for updates. If an update has not yet been installed, you will see "Restart is scheduled." If you want to install the update immediately, click the Restart now button.
The PC will restart with the update installed. Wait until you see the Windows 10 start screen again. This can sometimes take quite some time.
